Dawn Rising at the Historic Jenne Farm
Francois de Melogue
2026 | Archival pigment print on archival satin photo paper | 25x17

Before the full warmth of spring arrives, the Jenne Farm sits quietly in the hills of Reading, Vermont. In this early morning light, the remnants of winter snow cling to the banks of the dirt road, contrasting sharply with the rich red of the historic barns and the soft pink hue stretching across the horizon. The large maple trees frame the foreground, their bare branches reaching into the cool morning air, lending a sense of grounded permanence to the scene. There is no wind, no movement. The composition follows the curve of the road as it leads the eye toward the cluster of buildings nestled in the valley, inviting the viewer to move deeper into the landscape.

This scene captures the farm in a rare moment of solitude. Known as one of the most iconic landscapes in North America, Jenne Farm has stood the test of time and fame, appearing in films and stories that celebrate the heart of New England. Here, it is presented simply as a working farm waking up to a new season, a portrait of resilience and the quiet beauty found in the transition between seasons. In a home, this piece serves as an anchor above a mantel or in a quiet hallway, offering a window into a place where the pace of life is dictated by the land and the rising sun.

Quality is about longevity. I use a high-resolution Canon EOS R5 Mark II to capture every detail of the Reading, Vermont landscape. This piece is printed in-studio using a professional-grade Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 system with archival pigment inks on natural satin paper to create a print that will last for generations.

Print only, with a 1/4 inch wide white bordering for convenient matting and/or framing.

Unmatted (unmounted) / unframed.
