Original artwork description:

This is an original one off Multilayered Monotype print.
À trip to my local beach inspired this artwork where teenagers had gathered in the sea by the pier on a hot summer afternoon to enjoy themselves at the start of the holiday season. I took several photos of the scene and created the work back in my studio. I used oil based printing inks and worked in layers printing each one in turn by rolling ink onto a clear plastic matrix starting with the lightest tones. I employ various methods to build up the image including using white spirit, card to scrape into the ink, paint brushes etc. This artwork is signed on the front and is unmounted and unframed.
