About the Artwork
Inspired by the quiet moments in my studio in Joinville-le-Pont, this piece is a tribute to the "Daily Little Poetry" that surrounds us. I was moved by the way light interacts with a simple bouquet, turning a domestic scene into a spiritual meditation. By observing the dialogue between the container and the contained, I hope to create an experience —a breath of fresh air that reconnects to the vitality of nature and the beauty of fleeting moments.
I chose to work with mixed media—watercolor and ink—to explore the contrast between precision and fluidity. The subject of the still life is a classic tradition, but I wanted to reinterpret it through a modern lens. The core of this work lies in the tension between opposites: the verticality and structure of the vase versus the organic, wild dance of the flowers. It is a balance between human geometry and nature's freedom, captured through an expressive, contemporary style.

Based in Greater Paris, Linda Clerget is a contemporary artist whose work explores the boundaries between reality and spiritual onirism.
