The cypress, steadfast and majestic, stands against a vividly mellow sky, symbolizing endurance and resilience. I chose lush greens and calming blues to evoke peace, while the pastel hues of the sunset invite reflection and quietude. This artwork will bring a sense of harmony and timeless grace to your space, reminding you of nature's silent, enduring beauty. On my next visit to the island of Corfu, I visited the village of Benites. Cypresses in their salutes reminded me of the painting "Island of the Dead" by the Swiss symbolist artist Arnold Böcklin. It is a quiet calm, elongated silhouettes of cypress trees and a gentle burning day.
