Artwork description
The Red Cuillins on the Isle of Skye are dramatic and filled with colour. This image is the result of time spent on a small single track road, nothing but sheep, birds and the wind singing in my ears. I love the geometric shapes of this particular part of the mountain range and fabulous russet colours of the bracken contrasting against the dark mountains.
Created using advanced photography techniques, I move the camera when I take the images. I work to bring out the colours that intensify the emotional connection I made when viewing the scene.
This is a powerful image with a lot of emotion.
This edition is limited to just 100 prints and is presented at 12 x 12 inches, finished in a charcoal float frame. The frame gives the canvas a refined, contemporary presence while enhancing the depth and intensity of the colours.
