Original artwork description:

This box of found and made objects are influenced by the work of Joseph Cornell. He has always been one of my very favourite artists, you can read more about him here:
Joseph Cornell (December 24, 1903 – December 29, 1972) was an American artist and film maker, one of the pioneers and most celebrated exponents of assemblage.

This is a totally unique artwork made from handmade prints, and found objects. The linocut print of a butterfly is carefully mounted with its wings slightly raised mimicking nature. The box contains among other things watch parts, old watch faces and antique French watch glass and the wrappers from these. It also has a tiny collage made with old photographs which has been made into a small soldered glass and metal charm.

Solid Wood Box frame in black.
The deep box frame measures 23.5 cm x 23.5 cm x 3.25 cm

READY TO HANG: This artwork can be either hung on a wall or can stand independently on a surface.

Gift wrapping is offered also, frames will be wrapped in layers of acid free tissue paper then wrapped in gold brown paper tied with a black organza ribbon and a small handprinted gift card added for you to use.
