Oil and acrylic on canvas, inspired by time spent in Maine and the seasonal changing of color. Hues range from bright orange to burnt umber; scarlet, violet and crimson reds add to the colorful tones of the leaves, and golden yellows can also be found anywhere.
Nature has always been my main point of reference. I paint from memory, I'm more interested in creating the atmosphere and the emotion I felt when I was in a specific place.
