Part of my degree show series titled 'Silent Perspective', these pieces capture the stillness of northern streets and the subtle shifts of the seasons. They explore the quiet contrast between old and new, inviting a closer look at the understated beauty of the everyday. Each work is marked by the absence of people, spaces paused in time, quietly waiting to be noticed.

'Contrary Cat' captures a moment of quiet rebellion, where a cat, blissfully unaware or perhaps simply unconcerned of the rules, stretches out comfortably atop a sign forbidding such behavior. The playful tension between the "Do Not" and the act of lounging invites viewers to reflect on the charming defiance that animals often embody in their everyday actions. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the rules are just a suggestion, especially when you’re as adorable as this cat.
