CONTOURS OF TIME V — VEILED CURRENT (2025) Photograph by Brandon LeValley

63.5 x 88.9 x 0.25cm (unframed) / 59.69 x 85.09cm (actual image size)

£595.89

A study in concealment and flow, this image captures the quiet movement of sandstone as light slips through a narrow passage, revealing only fragments of form. Sweeping contours emerge from shadow, guiding the eye along a subdued current where structure begins to dissolve into darkness.

The interplay between illuminated edges and deep shadow creates a sense of tension and restraint, suggesting motion that is felt rather than fully seen. Here, time is not only etched into the surface but partially hidden, inviting the viewer to engage with what lies beneath and beyond immediate perception.

Part of the Contours of Time series, this work represents a shift toward abstraction, where form softens and the landscape becomes an experience of light, movement, and subtle revelation.
