I wake up in the morning, open Facebook, read the news... and when the hell will I finally wake up from this nightmare... In creating this piece, I sought to bridge the classic with the contemporary, touching on themes of protection and introspection. The subtle interplay of light and shadow across the figure and her feline companions exudes a sense of calm vigilance.
The rich texture of acrylics on canvas provides a depth.
For texture on the primed canvas before painting, a layer of textured paste with small glass particles is applied and then sanded for smoothness. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian canvas tm Unico were used. Finish - satin varnish. The ends are painted in the background color. Series "Life in Avatar". Created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. Painting is packed very carefully in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap to protect it. Artwork is signed and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
