These are personality shadows.
Note the intentional disproportion between the giant men/shadows and relatively small buildings. This is to emphasise the catastrophic consequences of not dealing with one's shadows (unwanted aspects of personality we don't identify with and tend to deny having). They will grow and eventually rule over our psyche, consequently influencing our behaviour, attitudes and beliefs. Do not let them grow, acknowledge them, fight them. If possible turn them into something positive.
