About Randi Antonsen

Biography

« Art has been with me through my whole life in different forms; there's beauty everywhere, so I search for it and let it affect me. »
Randi Antonsen is an award-winning Norwegian contemporary painter whose work captures the raw, poetic essence of the Nordic landscape and human emotion. Born in Harstad and raised in the rugged fishing village of Gryllefjord on Senja Island, her deep connection to the dramatic coastlines of Northern Norway serves as the ultimate muse for her art. Today, she creates and exhibits from her private studio, RA Kunst & Design, located in Verdal, Norway.
Every summer, Randi returns to her roots on the spectacular island of Senja, often called "Norway in Miniature". From late June to August, she opens her exclusive Summer Gallery in her childhood village of Gryllefjord. Located in a charming gray coastal house near the fjord, the space serves as both an exhibition gallery and a live working studio.
Visitors and art collectors traveling the scenic northern routes can step inside to view a curated selection of her latest acrylic paintings, fine art prints, and watercolors—many of which are painted on-site in her second-floor studio, deeply captured by the midnight sun and local scenery.
Randi specializes in vibrant acrylic paintings, expressive watercolors, and fine art prints. Her signature style blends bold textures with a rich, intuitive color palette, moving seamlessly between semi-abstract landscapes and figurative expressions. Each piece is a visual translation of memories, the changing Nordic light, and the untamed atmospheric forces of the North.
Over her respected career, Randi’s distinct vision has earned her notable regional accolades and international collector attention
