Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by John Coltrane.
The organic nature of jazz connects with the essence of the human being. Music is as old as we are, it has always been with us, we need it, it is part of our most primitive part.
Only music, like sometimes only painting, without words, sounds, without explanations. Jazz.
Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
