The atmospheric and impressive composition draws the eye into the distance – beyond the low-lying, hilly, and already dark horizon into the endless expanse of the sky. Here, the clouds drift by at sunset, sometimes seemingly weightless, sometimes powerful and dynamic, always in flux and change. The dynamic colors of the painting create a sense of tension: the interplay between the dark, almost mysterious cloud and the bright yellow-orange clouds invites contemplation, rejuvenation, and dreams.
