A 'mhaighdeannn or the maidens peak overlooking a remote loch. A rugged Scottish highland winter mountain landscape scene in shades of cool blue with a dramatic stormy cloudy sky in muted beige tones, and a touch of snow on the surrounding hills.
In this landscape study i have tried to convey the cold winter weather with wet hail and snow showers among the high hills of the Scottish highlands.
Painted in a contemporary impressionist style with a palette knife.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a gloss varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
