Original artwork description
Painting worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music from Rolling Stones, The Smiths, Pink Floyd...
Work developed through multiple layers. The new covers the old but there is always a trace. Gestural and intuitive painting where drawings, stains and marks fit together little by little, without forcing.
The work is inspired by cave paintings, also appearing elements of Nature and some figures inspired by science fiction films. All expressed on a canvas that looks like an advertising wall of any contemporary city, with stains, dirt and random graffiti.
A game of contrasts. Nature, the old and the urban merge in this painting full of symbolism, which basically speaks of the ephemeral, of the uncertainty and fragility that surrounds us, but also of the magic and greatness of any form of life.
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite, indian ink
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
