These plant has many names so you might recognize it. In Sweden it's known as Elefantöra (elephant ear) so I dug up some facts about it. Here they are:
Pilea peperomioides, more commonly known as Chinese money plant, pancake plant, UFO plant, lefse plant, missionary plant,' "Bender Plant"' or mirror grass, is a species of flowering plant in the nettle family Urticaceae, native to Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southern China.

This is an oil painting on ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), also known as Dibond, a sandwich panel is a structure made of three layers: a low-density core, and a thin skin-layer bonded to each side. Sandwich panels are used in applications where a combination of high structural rigidity and low weight is required. This makes these panels the ideal surface to work on as a painter.

Quite a challenge to get an alla prima on ACM in one pass.
