When I was little, my little brother and I lived with our parents in a house that was surrounded almost entirely by fields. In summer, tall grass and huge plants grew there. At the far end of the main field, red, white and pink poppies bloomed. We loved playing there and hiding away in our own little world. Everything was possible and simple. So when I see poppies, I feel safe and at ease. I wish I could go back there from time to time.

Acrylic painting on canvas. Painted with brushes and palette knives.
The sides are also painted.
