Chicago fascinates me. It is mysterious and evocative, powerful and robust, echoes of Art Deco, 1920s confidence, shadows of crime and danger. I am drawn to the metal and brick of yesteryear. Painting the city brings back memories and anchors me there, for a few hours at least, lost in my imagination I am there again. This is a larger work than previous works of the city. It can hang without the need for further framing. It is striking and filled with colorful energy.
