“Wine prepares hearts and makes them more ready for passion”: These words by Ovid, the great Roman poet (43 BC), inspired me to create this painting dedicated to the character, versatility, strength, and delicacy of the female world in harmony with wine, understood as a work of art that concerns life and the earth, with a complex, full-bodied, deep, enveloping, and intense aroma like an embrace. I poured my heart into this work, using acrylics, tempera, and ink to combine realism and expressionism. The figure represents human connection through the gaze that merges with wine, a symbol of conviviality and passion. The glass and the barrel become a symphony of bright colors, a bridge between reality and dream, offering energy and emotion to every space this painting will inhabit.
