Celtic landscape
A golden Cornish light,
Dusky pink hills,
Seeing along way,
Zoar and Goonhilly Downs,
Lizard Peninsular, South Cornwall.
Words and experience of my recent Christmas holiday 2025.
Original impressionist watercolour on cold pressed Fabriano watercolour paper 300gsm 140lb.
I painted this scene on holiday staying at Zoar a beautiful, peaceful area of the lizard .
Using one colour for the light and then while the paper was wet I brought out the dusky pink hills in the background. I mixed three colours for the darker tones of the landscape again applying while the paper was wet. Control of water and pigment,
Signed on the front and back of art work.
