In 1929 Rene Magritte painted The Treachery Of Images (aka This Is Not A Pipe) to spark a debate around the use of language and art as a representational medium. My work is a representation of the inside of one of Google's many clouds; huge information storage facilities running twenty four hours a day. I find it interesting that people discuss using the cloud yet this rarely conjures up an image of the storage facilities but rather a fictional notion of some ethereal place where information is held indefinitely without consequence. A modern treachery of imagery if you wish.

This is acrylic and luminous paint of canvas so, like the real cloud, it glows twenty four hours a day. The edges are painted black.
