This symbolic semi abstract and very expressive oil painting is about hope. A very fragile kind of hope, the one that may any moment turn into despair. In this artwork Zakhar Shevchuk aimed to reflect his emotions and feelings as to uncertainties of today’s world. The world full of fears, but also filled with Cautious Hope…

The viewer, like in a dream where it is hard to focus, is looking through this muddy window into the future and can never be certain what is really outside… The bright warm yellow glow may mean a rising sun that starts a new bright day, or maybe we see flares of a huge destructive fire? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves.

The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
