A slender cat sculpture made from natural calabash wood, HUNCHBACK is a hunchbacked cat that is part of the CalbinoOz series.

As is often the case with the cats in this series, his ears are oversized and his gaze is touching and timid.

He curves his back as if carrying the weight of this new world full of turmoil on his shoulders...

He wears a peacock blue ribbed jumper with long, slightly flared sleeves, while the rest of his body, made from natural calabash wood worked with fine wood cellulose, resembles a long tunic.

The work is mounted on a black iron base to give it more stability, as calabash is a hollow and light wood once emptied of its seeds and skin so that it can be exported all over the world.
