Original artwork description
Impression of the gardens at the Castelo de Silvas in the Algarve region in Portugal. Inspired by a recent tour around the Algarve.
This textured painting has been created with palette knife and brush and incorporates my characteristic subtle use of reflective paints to capture the sun.
In creating this painting I am inspired once more by the wonderful garden painting of my artistic hero Joaquin Sorolla. After seemingly a very long and cold winter in England, it is good to feel the heat of the sun again.
Painted on board 30 x40 cm to fit a standard frame of your choice.
