Original artwork description
This is rather a nostalgic scene. As we are fast approaching a cashless society, I came across this cafe worker at the end of her shift having a well earned cuppa. I liked the fact that the cafe is trying to keep hard cash alive.
It is a greasy spoon cafe- something that you don't see a lot of these days .
I hold my hands up...I have given her a cigarette, of course smoking is prohibited in public places, but I do enjoy painting them and thought that it adds to the yesteryear feel. I can almost smell this cafe by looking at the image- a heady mix of cigarettes smoke, hot fat and doughnuts.
Standard stretch canvas, edges painted stone.

- Oil painting on Canvas

- Size: 76 x 62 x 1.9cm (unframed)
