Edges of the Permissible are surfaces where symbols of conditionally forbidden relationships unfold. For most viewers, they remain merely images within comfortable, sheltered walls — protected by personal complacency, fears, or the inability to confront their own inner struggles.

Rejecting social taboos, the artist reveals spirituality and beauty within humiliated corporeality, striving to communicate her own pure and elevated understanding of harmonious human existence in a world that is pseudo-tolerant, overly moralizing, technologized, and heavily shaped by politics and marketing.

Just one step before the boundary of prohibited pornography lies the aesthetic of erotica — a realm that Tetiana Cherevan navigates with mastery and tenderness.
