Original artwork description:

This painting was based on a reference photo I took at a campsite in North Conway, New Hampshire. Because the light was so low, the shapes in the composition were broken into faceted, abstract forms. I am always trying to seek a level of simplification that still allows for representational imagery to be achieved and the photo served as a reminder of how little needs to sometime be done to do so.
