This series of smaller monoprints is on a favourite subject of mine, cairns. A cairn is basically a man-made stack of stones. Cairns have been a focus for human creativity from prehistoric times right through to the present day. Sometimes as landmarks or trail-markers, from the ceremonial to the practical. These heaps of stones I see as both a connection to our landscape and also our ancestors. I have always loved them.

Each monoprint in this series is a unique artwork.

Printed onto A4 Fabriano paper 300 gsm (acid free), using Caligo safe ink (oil based).

Paper sized : 21 cm x 29 cm
Image size: 13 cm x 25 cm
