Original artwork description:

A large green cactus is topped with many lovely pink flowers. To the right of the cactus sits a ginger cat, without stopping watching the flower. A Beagle dog sits at a distance and watches a cactus and a cat. Everything together takes place against an indigo background and laid on the floor in mosaic-colored tiles in three colors: cream, light blue and deep blue.
Middle of a sweltering summer. Neighbors, passing by, look curiously at the balcony of the 2nd floor, where a huge cactus bloomed with lush pink flowers. On both sides of the flower, Pukis and Spyglė are sitting in silent contemplation. Pukis - a ginger cat, like from a cartoon about Shrek, sometimes hangs his paws through the railing of the balcony and carefully examines the passers-by. Spygle, a Beagle dog with her clever eyes also watches from above what is happening below, sometimes leaving to patrol the apartment.
The happy owner of this household Diana, says that at night the cactus flowers bloom even more and exude a strong, incomparable sweet aroma, to which midges flock. At night, to the sounds of crickets, all the household (Diana, Pūkis + Spyglė) go to admire this short-term miracle. “Almost like in Japan, when cherry blossoms are in bloom,” laughs Diana.
Thanks to Diana for letting me admire this splendor and take the photos that served as the basis for this drawing.
