I love surfing and one of the most peaceful moments is to see the sun bursting on the horizon. It's a time and place in which I can feel very connected. Capturing that moment isn't easy without the attempt looking too much like a overused greeting card image. My goal was to keep the paint handling bold and simple like the very moment I was trying to capture.
