Original artwork description
If you have ever stood on the prairie and listened to the wind making the grass talk, you know how special it is. Estimates differ of how much original tall grass prairie survives, ranging from less than 1% mostly in scattered remnants found in pioneer cemeteries, restoration projects, along highways and railroad rights-of-way, and on steep bluffs high above rivers to 4%. These small bits of native prairie cling to existence. It breaks my heart to think that the next generations may never get the chance to see a native prairie.
Buffalo Grass is 24 x 18 inches on stretched canvas. It is gallery wrapped, wired and ready to hang. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
