Original artwork description
A painting created through free improvisation with music by Tom McRae, especially his song "The Boy with the Bubblegun."
Fragments of notebooks, scraps of stories.
Stories from the past and present. The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
We believe ourselves to be Gods, but we are just monkeys who have grown up.
Gestural, intuitive painting that includes collage with papers from many years ago.
Letting things happen. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The need to tell stories, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite, oil stick
