1969 Monaco Grand Prix
McLaren Cosworth M7C
During the 1969 Formula 1 season, teams were continually experimenting with a variety of front and back wing designs on their cars. Many cars had wings attached to the main monocoque on stilts, which at times proved extremely dangerous as they broke off when we experiencing high downforce loads. These aerodynamic designs were banned for the 1969 Monaco Grand Prix, leaving the grid with a much aesthetically pleasing set of Grand Prix cars.
Bruce McLaren had an eventful Monaco Grand Prix, charging from 11th on the grid to finish in the points with a 5th place.
