Broad Piece Farm is a small 8 x 8” acrylic painting on gesso panel of a farm near my home village, on a misty morning in December.

Christopher Witchall’s landscape paintings capture the light and open spaces of the Cambridgeshire fens where he has lived, explored, painted and photographed for over 30 years.
His unsentimental approach to his subjects combine traditional painting techniques with the realism and cool detachment of photography.
