Original artwork description
This artwork was inspired by childhood summers spent in our grandfather’s garden — a place that felt endless, magical, and full of life. Flowers grew taller than us, currant bushes turned into green labyrinths, and sweet berries and apples were always within reach. And of course, the cherry tree — the one we had to climb, as if earning a taste of summer itself.
Today, this memory holds even deeper meaning. Our grandfather is no longer with us in Ukraine, but the warmth of those days lives on. His garden remains a symbol of love, simplicity, and joy — a place where time felt infinite and happiness came naturally.
The color palette reflects this feeling: a vivid symphony of bright yellows, lush greens, sky blues, deep reds, and soft pinks balanced with creamy whites. Playful accents of orange and purple bring energy, while bold outlines create rhythm and harmony. It feels like summer — alive, radiant, and unforgettable.
This piece is not only about a place, but about a love that stays with us forever.
