Original artwork description
A soft, watery bloom of colour fills the image, like a garden seen through a veil of mist. Loose, overlapping washes of turquoise, mint and teal form the cool backbone, while blush pinks, lavender and warm amber drift through as gentle counterpoints.
The edges of shapes are feathered and translucent, suggesting petals and leaves without ever hardening into precise forms.
There are a few darker, more opaque pockets — fuchsia and emeralds — that give the composition depth and act as focal anchors amid the pale fields of white and pastel.
