Breaking Waves , waves rushing to the shore.
I can't swim very well and I don't like cold so my experience of water is usually at a distance, but I continue to experiment with the form and colours of the sea and the feelings of peace and joyfulness it evokes.

This is an original oil painting on prepared board.

Size: 6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) in a white 7.5" x 7.5" (19 x 19 cm) frame.

The good news is that oil paintings are pretty robust.

Keep away from direct sunlight and steam. Dust occasionally and your painting will last for decades.

There's something quite satisfying about a small oil painting.
To me the square ones are particularly precious and I love to hold them in my hand.
They can brighten up a small corner, make beautiful gifts and they are a wonderful way of getting into collecting original art.
