In this painting, I wanted to play the pinks and oranges over the complementary blue and green. Hanging rock is a mysterious place and the rocks are beautifully unreal, and I hope this painting expresses the strangeness of it. The wind is a feature in my work and it swirls beautifully against the stoic rocks. I've used the scratch back technique to reveal the complementary colors underneath.
