Original artwork description
This is the view across Tollesbury salt marshes on the coast of Essex, England. It’s a fairly undiscovered part of the country with wonderful light & unique scenery and a view that I keep returning to.
The building on the horizon is the now disused Bradwell power station. I was drawn to the juxtaposition of the monolithic building against the tranquil marshland and sea.
This painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London from 21 June – 21 August 2022.
Although the original canvas is sold, limited edition high quality archival Giclee prints are also available of this painting, printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper 310gsm - a lovely paper with a fine surface texture.
The prints meet the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper and in my opinion are a perfect reproduction of the original. If you would like a different size to the ones currently offered, or would like to find out about a print on canvas rather than paper, please message me as I can offer a variety of sizes of print on a range of substrates.
