An original watercolour painting, inspired by an evening walk in our local woodland. The low light filtering through the trees on the carpet of fragrant blue was breathtakingly beautiful.
Some of the initial stages of the painting can be seen if you swipe through the images. I started with a big watercolour wash and gradually defined all the details in subsequent stages, all the while making sure that the light remains intact.
