I created this painting as an exploration of openness, structure, and reflected light — a composition where cool blue tones and warm neutral textures meet within a calm architectural space.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I developed the surface through multiple textured layers using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Shades of muted blue, ivory, beige, taupe, white, charcoal, and deep brown create contrast and spatial depth while preserving a refined contemporary atmosphere.

The composition is structured around intersecting vertical and horizontal forms that suggest reflection, distance, and quiet movement without becoming fully representational. Layered textures, scraped passages, softened transitions, and expressive marks create rhythm across the surface while maintaining spaciousness and compositional clarity.

I wanted this work to feel grounded yet expansive — like a quiet visual pause shaped by light, texture, and atmosphere. The textured surface changes beautifully throughout the day, revealing subtle nuances of soft blue, warm beige, ivory, charcoal, and earthy brown depending on the surrounding light.
