The image captures a moment where everything felt unhurried and calm, as if time briefly paused. Blue Angel holds that feeling of quiet space and openness, bringing a sense of calm and ease to the room it’s displayed in, and offering a gentle reminder of nature’s quieter moods.

The image was created on the clifftops at the north end of the Isle of Skye on a peaceful, calm day. There was a steady wind moving across the cliffs, and the clouds were filled with both sunlight and drifting snow, creating a quiet, balanced atmosphere.

This is a long-exposure photograph, which allowed the sea to soften and smooth, adding to the sense of stillness in the scene. Light and shadow shift subtly, creating depth without drama, and encouraging a slower, more reflective way of looking.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.
