This piece came together in that carefree, joyful way that only summer seems to bring. The flowers are painted in oil with a hyper realistic touch, each petal carefully built to capture softness, light, and depth. Around them, I let go completely. The expressionist drips and splashes in acrylic were thrown and layered instinctively, like movement, like laughter, like dancing in warm summer rain.
I love the contrast here between control and freedom. The stillness of the blooms against the energy of colour exploding across the canvas. It feels alive, spontaneous, and full of emotion. For me, it is about those moments where everything feels bright, playful, and completely in the present.
