Head sculpture of the mythical black wolf.

It has been gouged from a solid dead tree stump, with the teeth and fangs carved from a softer wood. The overall colour of the wood has been enhanced and polished with tinted wax and a touch of brown and black acrylic.

Fascinating, wolves have a hierarchical and intelligent organisation focused on survival, disrupted by the reduction in their natural territory caused by man, their greatest predator, but also their greatest protector...
