Black Flow is an original abstract acrylic painting exploring movement, contrast and the unpredictable interaction of fluid colour.

The composition is dominated by deep black, with flowing areas of contrasting colour creating organic forms and intricate patterns across the canvas. The movement of the paint gives the artwork a sense of energy, while the dark background creates depth and drama.

When creating this painting, I allowed the materials and movement of the acrylic paint to influence the final composition rather than controlling every detail. This spontaneous process produced patterns, textures and transitions that could never be recreated in exactly the same way.

This work belongs to an earlier period of my artistic practice when I was exploring abstract and fluid acrylic techniques before concentrating more extensively on contemporary wildlife realism.
