Venus 3-10-22 is a meditation on the instability of form and the porous boundary between fiction and reality. Using a fluid, process-driven approach—staining, stripping, and revealing raw canvas—I explore the materiality of impermanence. The work reinterprets Botticelli’s *The Birth of Venus* not as a fixed icon, but as a site of transformation, where figures overlap and dissolve, mirroring the fragility of identity and meaning. The contrast between muted tones and sudden bursts of color reflects the unpredictable emergence of presence within a state of flux. By allowing the canvas to remain partially exposed, I foreground the passage of time and the inevitability of change, suggesting that beauty and meaning are not static but continually reformed through loss and revelation.

The work is titled and signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The work will be shipped rolled in a strong tube and should arrive within 7-10 days after dispatch
