Description: For a once in a lifetime, bucket list topping getaway, consider the Post Ranch Inn perched 1200 feet above the Pacific Ocean in Big Sur, California. During a recent stay, I woke up particularly early one morning in the hopes of catching something magical during the blue hour. As I wandered around the property, I was instantly captivated by the views from the jacuzzi, the fog collecting along the coastline and the reflections from the trees and clouds on the surface of the water. Because the light was rapidly changing, I didn’t have time to setup my tripod. I set the ISO to 1600 and prayed I had sufficient light. I made about a dozen hand-held exposures within the span of no more than half a minute. When I caught a glimpse of what I had captured on the back of the camera, I was truly awe-struck.
