Original artwork description:

This landscape painting ‘Big Rock Among The Reeds’ was inspired by a photograph of the Mannum Waterfalls on a website called Walkingsa. The site gives great information on the various walking trails in South Australia, including the Mannum Waterfalls.
The remarkable landscape on the road to Mannum is strewn with massive granite boulders.
The waterfalls are a series of small cascades along Reedy Creek. Some parts are gently flowing waterholes with reeds along the edges, but as the gorge narrows and becomes more rocky, the water flows over and through the granite.

Materials used:

oil paint
