Between Two WorldsLimited edition print Paper Print
by Ryan Louder

Between Two Worlds is an original oil painting on board, 84 x 59 cm, by London artist Ryan Louder. A small white figure stands in a yellow-green field under a huge sky, deep blue clouds swirling above and dark ground folding in below.

The figure is halfway through something. The sky is too big for one person, the foreground too dark for comfort, and the middle of the canvas is the only warm place left to stand. I have stood in that exact spot. Between two worlds is not a metaphor for me, it is the daily commute between waking and dreaming, and both sides of this one are painted from life. The sky moves because it did move.

Painted in my London studio. Carefully packaged and dispatched with a tracked courier. Any questions, just ask.
